Trading Volume in October 2009

In October 2009, the trading volume of Three-month Euroyen futures was 1,150,054, decreasing 14.2% in comparison to that of the prior year comparable month, and increasing 6.5% in comparison to that of the prior month, and the average daily volume was 54,764. The trading volume of Options on Three-month Euroyen futures was 1,100, decreasing 97.9% in comparison to that of the prior year comparable month, and increasing 10.0% in comparison to that of the prior month. The trading volumes for the put options and call options are 900 and 200, respectively, and the average daily volume was 52. See the table 1 for the composition of the trading volumes.

The total trading volume of Exchange Forex Margin contracts (Click 365) was 7,393,098, increasing 25.6% in comparison to that of the prior year comparable month, and increasing 30.3% in comparison to that of the prior month, and the average daily trading volume was 336,050.
