DIE (Designated Investment Exchange) Approval

(Feb 10, 1997)

The Tokyo International Financial Futures Exchange (TIFFE) has been designated as a DIE (Designated Investment Exchange) by the SIB (Securities and Investments Board) this January.

This brings about the following effects.
  1. UK firms are allowed to take orders from investors on futures and options products (commodities) listed on TIFFE.
  2. UK firms are exempted from some reporting duties in trading TIFFE's products.
